Hi! My name is Kyra
My middle name is lovingly after my Babci Jeanette,
who was better known by her friends as Jean.
The one responsible for me being Kyra Jean :)
I was born and raised in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts. The clients I serve are based all over the world. At a moment's notice, my bags can be packed & I'm ready for the road of travel. Just let me know when & where!
However, after a heaping dose of adventure there's an appreciation like no other for my own bed. Am I right?! As they say, life is all about balance.
I'm a natural observer — which is why the camera feels like being home. I got my first DSLR camera over 10 years ago.
I support Black Lives Matter and the LGBTQ+ Community.
LOVE IS LOVE!
What is my 'why'?
Each morning that I wake to greet a new day is a blessing that I hope I don't ever take for granted. Though sometimes if I'm being honest, the trials and tribulations can make it possible to lose sight of the gratitude in my heart. It is within that continual practice of acknowledging something to be grateful for that I turned to photography over a decade ago. Taking pictures is a way to express my profound gratitude for my own journey of life and the connections and bonds we share. The energetic exchange between all sentient beings and human connection absolutely fascinates me to no end. Just like the network of mycelium running beneath the Earth we walk upon, we are all connected by our own uniquely human experience. I find it to be pure magic that folks who were possibly once considered strangers to us can become our most cherished bonds
The older I get the more that I realize my mom really was right... about (mostly) everything. Time moves at a faster pace with each birthday I celebrate and I crave to hold onto moments just a little longer than they seem to last. Catching the sun as it dips below the horizon or the final bite of a ridiculously delicious meal...
I seek to deliver images that take us back to those feelings in that exact moment.
Because long after the flowers have wilted, the cake has been eaten and the dress is put away.
To ensure that each couple I have the immense privilege of working with gets the same level of creative quality, dedication, and enthusiasm I only book a limited number of weddings each year.
I’d love to connect with you to learn more about your day and discuss which options might best fit your needs.
Thank you for being here.
